Dance.

So i really just have to get this off my chest.

Sometimes i really get annoyed with people who give excuses for not attending ballet class.

Or worse, excuses that don’t make sense.

1. if you are injured, you should not be dancing ANY TYPE OF DANCE GENRE.

2. if you can dance other type of dance genre, ballet should not be a problem.

3. ALL DANCE GENRES ARE DEMANDING, NOT JUST BALLET.

4. you skip dance classes cus your friends aren’t going.

5. you tweet dance related stuff, but in real life, your attitude towards dance is different.

6. just because you got injured once, you don’t want to do it again because you find it too technical and is scared. blah blah blah.

and one thing that i seriously cannot tolerate is when people give excuses not to go for dance classes and when exam comes, they go for it, results come back, they don’t get a distinction, they cry like fuck and start cursing the examiner.

Like seriously, what the fuck is wrong with these people.

YOU DIDN’T GET A DISTINCTION BECAUSE YOU DIDN’T WANT TO PUT IN EFFORT. ITS NOT THE EXAMINER’S FAULT.

I may get a little disappointed when i don’t get a distinction for my exam. but i don’t blame the examiner, i don’t cry like fuck.

And its not because i can’t be bother. Its because i know the reason lies with me.

I know i’m not fit and lean, i don’t have the best lines or technique.

But if i could make an effort to exercise more & eat lesser, wouldn’t i be fit and lean? But i didn’t make the effort. So i only have myself to blame right?

Some people just don’t get that the reason lies with them. Not others.

From no.4, YOU SKIP DANCE CLASSES BECAUSE YOUR FRIENDS AREN’T GOING.

I would like to know, you go to dance class to socialise or you go because you want to and need to?
If you go to dance class to socialise, then you really shouldn’t be there. Just go to some cafe or club to socialise with your friends. DON’T FUCKING WASTE THE STUDIO SPACE.

Seriously cannot tolerate all those followers. One person don’t go, the rest also follow by not going.

From no.5, PLEASE DON’T CONTRADICT YOURSELF. YOU JUST MAKE YOURSELF LOOK LIKE A FOOL.

And, LAZY is not an excuse. Dance classes aren’t cheap. If you are not going for class because you are lazy, then just quit. Don’t waste your parents money.

Not all excuses are stupid. But these are just a few that really annoy me.

If you lose interest, then fine, i can’t say anything.

But if you say you like you dance, and you give these stupid excuses, please reflect on yourself.

I know its their personal life and they can say/do anything they want and i shouldn’t really be bothered about it.

But if you talk to me about it, then it becomes my problem. Because you told me about it.

So anyway, not everyone is like that, and this just prolly is the minority.

‘YOU’ does not mean anyone in particular. Its just a general term.

Also, i’m saying ballet because i take ballet classes and my dance mates are mostly form my ballet class.

*Personal thoughts* *Don’t get angry with me*

You shouldn’t even get angry because of this post. Because if you did, you prolly are admitting you are one of those people.

“Dancing should look easy; like an optical illusion. It should seem effortless. When you do a difficult variation, the audience is aware that it is demanding and that you have the power and strength to do it. But in the end, when you take your bow, you should look as if you were saying, ‘Oh, it was nothing. I could do it again.’” —Bruce Marks
